Sound Sunday is your chance to taste a new musical flavor every week. After listening to this edition, you will appreciate Jazz! And if you already do, you’ll love what I have for you this week.
What Is Jazz?
Like hip hop, Jazz has its origins in African-American communities. The genre became popular around the world in the early 20th century. It rapidly evolved and diversified into several dozen sub and fusion genres. Jazz knows no boundaries. Trombonist J.J. Johnson once said: “Jazz is restless. It won’t stay put and it never will.”
This edition features only a small selection of the diversity found in Jazz and I hope you will enjoy my picks. Please leave your feedback in the comments! I also hear you @TinaSieber on Twitter or via email to Tina at this domain.

Loose Willis was awesome!!! Danke
Thanks so much for featuring even more Cult Classic Records releases. Appreciate your continued support Tina.
I love all of your stuff, Bob! I could fill an entire edition with CCR releases. And I keep finding them because other people love your music, too. I hope you guys and your artists are doing great!
Very nice selections. I do have a question though? Have you even done more Foreign music? For example, I personally love Japanese music (commonly just called the umbrella terms J-pop, J-rock), so I didn't know if you had ever incorporated music of foreign languages, any language. I thought it'd be interesting to be a bit more culturally diverse. Though I understand finding free music could be a little more difficult.
You mean foreign as in geographically or culturally influenced genres?
I have occasionally featured this kind of music. In fact, I have an entire folder full of foreign language albums, which probably includes regional genres. I could do a world music edition, but to do an edition just on J-pop/rock will indeed be difficult.
